Your choice

Ahrefs Web Analytics runs by default on public pages to help us understand and improve the website. You do not need to accept a banner first. Switch Basic analytics above off to stop it in this browser. You can still browse and sign up. Existing rejection preferences are respected. Disabling analytics reloads the page to stop the loaded tracker; it does not delete events already sent. Switching it on does not enable a more detailed tracking mode.

What is stored in your browser?

• Analytics preference: local storage named th-analytics-consent remembers whether you enabled or disabled analytics. Previously saved rejections continue to disable it. It is used only to honour your choice. It remains until you change the setting or clear this site's browser storage.
• CMS authentication: when an authorised editor signs into the CMS, a secure authentication cookie maintains their session. Ordinary website visitors do not need to sign in. Authentication and security storage are used to provide the requested editor session.

Blocking essential session cookies can prevent editors from signing in. Clearing browser storage also clears your saved analytics choice.

Ahrefs Web Analytics

Unless you opt out, we load Ahrefs' analytics script on public website pages. It measures visits, referrals and interactions with information such as browser and device type, language, screen size and approximate location. Ahrefs describes the service as cookieless and uses a daily pseudonymous visitor identifier rather than tracking a visitor across days. We keep it out of the CMS and do not send signup email fields as analytics events.

Basic analytics is enabled by default, including when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Use the toggle above to opt out. If preference storage cannot be read, analytics remains enabled unless the URL opt-out is present. An explicit analytics=off URL parameter also disables analytics for that page; this is a fallback if a preference cannot be saved. Your choice is specific to this browser; other devices can have different settings. See Ahrefs' analytics documentation for its data practices.

Other services

Ahrefs Webmaster Tools checks our public website for search and technical issues. That server-side audit does not require a visitor cookie. External links open services with their own policies. If we add embedded video or other tracking technology later, we will update this notice and the relevant controls before enabling it.
